National Monument and Norodom Boulevard

The area around the National Monument has always been one of the cleanest, most beautiful and relaxing spots in Phnom Penh. The government succeeded in repeated renovations and upgrades of this area over the last 10 years or so. Now, after its final completion, this area can testify for the genius of Cambodian garden design and landscaping, very much influenced by Buddhist philosophy and an obvious intention to showcase to tourists the fact that Cambodia is after all a Kingdom, featuring a conservative take in urban design.
